Wendi L. Forster

Photography has been a lifelong passion for Wendi. What started as an exploration of landscapes quickly evolved into a diverse photographic portfolio that now includes wildlife, macro, floral, night sky and panoramic photography. She is an award winning photographer as well as holding 6 genre accreditations with the Professional Photographer's of Canada.
Among all her subjects, bears have always held a special fascination. Wendi has made it a personal mission to photograph all eight species of bears found around the world. To date, she has photographed four of the main species of bears, Grizzly, Black, Andean and Polar Bear. She has also photographed several subspecies, Ussuri Bears in Japan, Kermode (Spirit) Bears off the coast of British Columbia. She is eagerly anticipating a trip to Sri Lanka and India next March in hopes of capturing her fifth species, the elusive Sloth Bear.
While wildlife photography remains a central focus of her work, Wendi continues to challenge herself as a landscape photographer, particularly through the creation of night sky and panoramic images that showcase the grandeur of the natural world.
Through her photography, Wendi seeks to inspire others to explore, appreciate and protect the remarkable landscapes and wildlife that make our world extraordinary.
